About the Author
Fritz Schweiger studied mathematics and physics at the University of Vienna. From 1964 till 1969 he was assistant professor in Vienna. From 1969 till 2010 he served as a full professor of mathematics and mathematics education at the University of Salzburg. He was also visiting professor at Michigan State University (East Lansing, USA), Monash University (Clayton, Australia), University of Innsbruck (Innsbruck, Austria) and Tsuda College (Tokyo, Japan). His research area and interests include number theory, ergodic theory, mathematics education, and Australian languages.
